Jennifer J. DeCastro Tunnard is a seasoned trial attorney with more than fifteen years of experience practicing law in New York and Connecticut. She has litigated criminal cases involving felonies including murder, rape, armed robbery, sexual assault, grand larceny, burglary, gun possession and assault. In doing so Attorney Tunnard has managed both misdemeanor and felony cases from their inception through the appeal process. She also has extensive trial experience in personal injury cases ranging from traumatic brain injuries to soft tissue injuries.
Attorney Tunnard spent her first six years of practice as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County where her ability to speak both Spanish and English made her a highly sought after guest lecturer. She also worked as in house counsel to several insurance companies defending personal injury cases.
Attorney Tunnard received her law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, in Huntington, New York and her undergraduate degree from Fordham University. She is admitted to practice in the States of New York and Connecticut, and is a member of the National College for DUI Defense.
Attorney Tunnard received her Certificate of Completion from Walden, Platt & Associates for the NHTSA/IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course, making her personally certified to administer a field sobriety test. She is a Special Public Defender to the Danbury Judicial District and a member of the Danbury Trailblazers BNI Group in Bethel, CT.
